Taking Charge of My Learning in the MYP

As an MYP 3 at Manchester International School, which proudly stands as the only IB Continuum school in the region, I’ve embarked on an insightful journey through the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP). This educational path has taught me that learning is not a passive experience; instead, it is an active, dynamic process in which each of us is a participant and a creator.

This year, I was fortunate enough to dive into a personal project, a hallmark of the MYP that encourages students to explore a topic of their choosing in depth. I selected the theme "The Role of Music in Mental Health," a subject that resonates with many students and inspires a deeper understanding of how art can influence our well-being. This choice was particularly meaningful to me, as I have always been passionate about music and its emotional power.
