Celebrating Strength, Voice, and Solidarity
On 9 March, the Manchester International School community came together to observe Women’s Day with reflection, celebration, and dialogue. Our MYP 4 students curated a powerful visual depiction of women who have left their imprint across the globe, reminding us of the many ways women shape our world.
The day included interactive games, meaningful conversations among our women staff on what it truly means to be a woman, and heartfelt reflections captured through powerful notes of appreciation. The Principal’s address explored the deeper meaning of strength—not merely as resilience, but as courage, compassion, and conviction.
In his message, the Head of School urged our boys and men to consciously equip themselves to walk alongside empowered women with respect, understanding, and partnership. Adding a special touch, our male staff—from the security team to our bus helpers—shared warm greetings and their perspectives, making the celebration a truly inclusive one. Together, the day reaffirmed our commitment to nurturing a community where respect, equality, and shared responsibility guide our journey forward.
