IB-PYP Drawing Competition
The IB-PYP hosted an intramural poster-making competition to commemorate the World Day Against Child Labour. This event was a profound ACTION of PARTICIPATION taken by PYP focusing on raising awareness about the grim realities of child labor, fostering a collective sense of responsibility towards eradicating it. This event turned our young learners into the advocates for SDGs #3 Good Health and Wellbeing and #4 Quality Education.
By creating posters, our students were encouraged to express their thoughts, ideas, and emotions about the injustices faced by the children forced into labor and the importance of education and a carefree childhood for all children. Each poster of our young artists told a unique story, highlighting not just the plight of child laborers but also the hope and potential for a brighter future. The vibrant colors, poignant messages, and powerful imagery used in the posters were truly inspiring.
Additionally, the event fostered a sense of empathy and global citizenship among the students, aligning with the IB's mission to develop caring, informed, and proactive young individuals.
