Industrial visit to Ooty
Manchester International School's MYP 4 and 5 students embarked on an industrial visit to Ooty, enhancing their experiential learning through hands-on experiences.
The trip included a visit to the Ooty Radio Astronomy Observatory (ORAO), where students observed the functioning of the 530-metre-long radio telescope. They also explored the Cosmic Ray Laboratory, learning about cosmic rays at the GRAPES-3 observatory. The trip concluded at the Venkateshwara Tea Factory in Kotagiri, where students gained insights into tea production, processing, and varieties.
