World Music Day 2019 at MIS

“Music expresses that which cannot be put into words, and that which cannot remain silent” - Victor Huge

Fete de la Musique at Manchester

Worldwide, there are varied patterns and designs used to compose music that marks its own identity the moment we incorporate cultural and social themes to them. With the accompaniments and the vocal support that can go along with it, music then becomes truly an infinite escapade. World Music Day was celebrated at Manchester International School with great fervor to soothe the beginning of the summer solstice.

The School Choir marked the beginning of the celebration with an invocatory number- a traditional hymn- to invoke the supreme blessings!

The Principal Mr. Rajesh Vasudevan, in his opening address enlightened the students with the history behind this celebration and the relevance music can play in improving human efficiency.

The highlight of the event was the performance by TN-38, an upcoming band from the city. The musical extravaganza, literally got the audience, from our toddlers to young people- staff and students alike tap their feet and shake their body… becoming musically fanatic!
