When Parents and Students decide where to go to school, they evaluate the quality of life on campus - where they live, what they eat and how they socialize. Manchester International School’s campus life challenged us to create a new dining experience, with a swanky dining hall, kitchen that broaden the food choices, and a variety of seating arrangements. The result is a more lively, comfortable and intimate experience than any other school dining halls in the vicinity.

Manchester International School is responsible for both nourishing and nurturing its mostly student population. Procured from local sources, our food is as wholesome and fresh as possible, made from the purest, least processed ingredients, for the purpose of instilling healthy eating habits amidst our beloved young champs!!

To celebrate the birthday of the former President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, students of MIS participated in various activities.

Dr. Kalam is also known as the Missile Man for his great and significant contribution in the field of science.

Students paid tribute to the great scientist with respect and devotion.

Students of grade 1 to 9 participated in drawing, 3D model making, collage work and mask making with enthusiasm.

Later all the students assembled together at the sports arena wearing the masks of Dr. APJ, holding their creative works.

An act of gratitude is absolute only when the receiver feels the true essence with which the giver demonstrates it. And the giver gets the contentment when the receiver accepts it unconditionally.

Artistically and meaningfully decorated class entrances, thoughtfully designed class displays, aesthetically scripted cards and thank you notes, added worth to the effort of this great profession.

The true display of Gratitude was optimized at Manchester International School, when the distance between the teacher and taught gently dissolved with mark of mutual respect!

The whole day spearheaded by the student Council, had performances and acts by students across the programmes. Each one outshone the other in terms of excellence and quality- budding from the noble gesture of ‘thanks giving’. The post lunch session had sports organised for the teachers; from simple games as Lemon and Spoon race, to Tug of War- all held in good humor and spirit!

The High Tea in the school lawns was a demonstration of thanks giving combined with genuine appreciation by the Management.

As someone rightly said, No one is more cherished in this world than someone who lightens the burden of another.

Unassumingly, the festival of Onam, popularly meant as the Harvest Festival of God's Own County - Kerala, is being pompously perceived as ceaseless celebrations, suggestive of an exclusive era which had wondrously witnessed the essence of the celebrated coexistence of unity and diversity...

Onam is about colours without discrimination- the floral carpet that beautifies the patio to welcome the legendary king symbolizes the manner in which differences in profusion & patterns could be accommodated wisely to exemplify oneness!

We, at Manchester International School did celebrate the feelings and the festival of Onam at the school premises, with piety and passion in abundance!!

Narrating the mythology of Onam the PYP students impeccably threaded the legend and the performances. Starting with the Pookalam, a decorative design with flowers the audience journeyed to watch Kaikottikali a graceful dance that was both enchanting and elegant by our senior girls attired in traditional Kerala sari along with fresh jasmines adorning their hair making it a wonderful sight for the eyes. The Harvest Dance, blending the rustic music and rapid footwork got the whole applauding and tapping their feet loudly. The Onapattu- Traditional Onam Song, Vanchipattu- song associated with Boat Race, and the Folk Dance added hues and rays to the celebration.

The Inter house floral Carpet competition for the Senior School, and the inter class floral decoration for the Primary School held in the morning heralded the joyous opening of a daylong celebration.

The traditional Onasadhya marked the most inviting part of the Onam celebrations. The sumptuous delicacies served during lunch included an array of traditional recipes of Kerala followed from time immemorial.

The fun filled Inter-house games, Vadamvali (tug of war) and Uriyadi (smashing the pinata) saw the day-long merriment of the festivities coming to a close!!

An agricultural sector plays a strategic role in the process of economic development of a country. It makes the significant contribution to the economic property of a country. Many of us don’t realize that and are influenced by new technologies and gadgets. To bring in awareness about the importance of agriculture Dr. Illangovan Ramasamy (Senior professor, Agriculture University) who has a strong portfolio of success in orchestrating the whole process of agro production technology service to the manufactures, corporate groups or individual, farms and farmers was amongst us to cut the ribbon and inaugurate our new garden area. He spoke about agriculture in a simple manner that all are students were excited to listen to him. He also spoke about metabolic kitchen, grafting, dibbling and how to carefully plant the seed in the soil. He planted few saplings and sowed some seeds along with our students.
